Sandra Pojtek, DMD
Dr. Sandra Pojtek grew up in Canada and fell in love with dentistry after undergoing orthodontic treatment as a teen. Experiencing the life-altering results first hand, she discovered her passion for changing lives through creating and maintaining beautiful smiles. Dr. Pojtek earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Montreal in 2014 and completed her residency at East Carolina University School of Dental Medicine.
Dr. Pojtek is committed to continuing education and takes many advanced courses each year to enhance her skills so she can provide her patients with the highest-quality dentistry available.
When she is not practicing dentistry, Dr Pojtek enjoys spending her free time with family. She loves being on the water and enjoying the beautiful Florida weather. Another passion of hers is food and enjoying cuisines from different cultures, with Indian and Thai being her favorites.
CRDH — HYGIENIST
Lauren graduated from Hillsborough Community College with her Associate of Science degree in dental hygiene. While in school, Lauren was recognized for her excellence in clinical dental hygiene and received the Hu-Friedy Golden Scaler Award. She was also the recipient of the Student American Dental Hygiene Association Service Award for her commitment to volunteer work. Lauren is an active member of the American Dental Hygiene Association and is passionate about patient advocacy and care. Lauren currently resides in Tampa and enjoys living along the beautiful landscape of Florida’s gulf coast.
Sonalee completed her associate degree in 2017 and joined our team in March 2020. She enjoys the steady pace of the practice and working with a talented team, and she loves the variety at our office. She can be found in the front office as well as assisting the doctor and providing care, and she makes an effort to help in any way she can. Sonalee also maintains our operatories and sterilization station so that we can give our patients the care they need. Sonalee is the oldest of three sisters, and outside of the office, she enjoys studying, enjoying the outdoors, and performing basic maintenance and modifications on her car. Prior to becoming a dental assistant, Sonalee worked in construction.
